complete purple victorian outfit w/ basque

this is the completed design for the outfit i will be wearing to a friend's wedding. yes, i am a little eccentric. the whole outfit was designed around the purple and black striped corset i bought from the crypt in san diego. it was made to frame it in such a way as to play with the shape at the top and accentuate the vertical lines of the corset. the purple fabric is dupioni silk and the black basque polonaise is made of semi-sheer rayon and cotton twill. the patterns i used were truly victorian's TV290 and TV410 (and underneath it all is the support of TV101)..... though i did alter them a bit to get the look i wanted. i omitted most of the sleeves and front of the basque polonaise as well as shortening it. this whole outfit took about a month or so on and off to complete and i'm pretty happy with how it has come together.
